The NFL announced the 2021 regular-season schedule on Wednesday, and for the Seahawks their 17 games include five prime-time contests, three of them at Lumen Field, and a Week 9 bye. Here's a look at every game on Seattle's 2021 schedule:

Week 1: Sept. 12 at Indianapolis Colts, 10 a.m., FOX

The Seahawks head east to kick off their season, marking the 15th time in the last 22 seasons they've opened on the road. The Colts went 11-5 last year and made the postseason, but they'll have a new quarterback following the retirement of Philip Rivers, having traded for Carson Wentz this offseason.

Week 2: Sept. 19 vs. Tennessee Titans, 1:25 p.m., CBS

Lumen Field should be rocking as fans return for the first time since the 2019 season, and Seattle's home opener looks to be a tough test. The Titans have posted a winning record in each of the past five seasons, going the playoffs three times, including last year when they won the AFC South with an 11-5 record. Run defense will be the priority this week as Seattle's defense tries to contain Derrick Henry, who has led the NFL in rushing each of the past two seasons, including 2,027-yards and 17-touchdowns in 2020.

Week 3: Sept. 26 at Minnesota Vikings, 1:25 p.m., FOX

The Seahawks play the Vikings for the fourth straight season, thought the previous three have been in Seattle. The Seahawks are 7-0 against Minnesota, postseason included, dating back to 2012.

Week 4: Oct. 3 at San Francisco 49ers, 1:05 p.m., FOX

Seattle's first NFC West game comes against a 49ers squad looking to bounce back from an injury-plagued 6-10 2020 campaign. One big question is whether the Seahawks will be seeing Jimmy Garoppolo at QB or No. 3 pick Trey Lance.

Week 5: Oct. 7 (Thursday) vs. Los Angeles Rams, 5:20 p.m., FOX/NFLN/Amazon**

Seattle's first prime-time game is a clash between two 2020 playoff teams, and will be full of interesting storylines, including Seahawks offensive coordinator Shane Waldron and run game coordinator Andy Dickerson coaching against their former team, as well as Seattle's first look at a Rams offense with Matt Stafford at quarterback.

Week 6: Oct. 17 at Pittsburgh Steelers, 5:20 p.m., NBC

Seattle's second trip to Pittsburgh in the past three seasons is the 17th game the NFL added this offseason, and should be a good matchup between two teams that went 12-4 in 2020. Could this be Seattle's last time facing Ben Roethlisberger, who is 39 and whose contract is up after this season?

Week 7: Oct. 25 (Monday) vs. New Orleans Saints, 5:15 p.m., ESPN

The Seahawks' third straight prime-time game sees the Saints come to town without Drew Brees under center for the first time in more than a decade. New Orleans still has plenty of talent on both sides of the ball to be dangerous, but uncertainty at quarterback heading into a season is something the franchise hasn't faced in a long time.

Week 8: Oct. 31 vs. Jacksonville Jaguars, 1:05 p.m., CBS

Not only will the Seahawks be facing No. 1 pick Trevor Lawrence in this game, they'll also see plenty of familiar faces on the opposing sideline. The Jaguars' coaching staff includes offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell, passing game coordinator Brian Schottenheimer and receivers coach Sanjay Lal, all former Seahawks assistants, and their roster includes three players who spent 2020 with Seattle: Shaquill Griffin, Carlos Hyde and Phillip Dorsett II.

Week 9: BYE

Week 10: Nov. 14 at Green Bay Packers, 1:25 p.m., CBS

The Seahawks return to Lambeau Field looking to break a trend of home-team dominance in this series. Dating back to 2012, the Seahawks are 4-0 against the Packers at home, playoffs included, but have lost four in a row in Green Bay, including a playoff loss two seasons ago. The Seahawks will have the advantage of a bye week prior to this one.

Week 11: Nov. 21 vs. Arizona Cardinals, 1:25 p.m., FOX

Seattle's first look at the Cardinals comes in Week 11, and the Cardinals should be right in the mix in the division after improving from 5-10-1 two seasons ago to 8-8 last year. If last season is any indication-the teams split a pair of thrillers-this should be an exciting game.

Week 12: Nov. 29 (Monday) at Washington Football Team, 5:15 p.m., ESPN

Seattle's second trip to Washington in as many years features a pair of 2020 division winners. The Seahawks won a close game in Washington last season, and facing one of the league's best defenses, the Seahawks should again have their hands full with Ron Rivera's squad.

Week 13: Dec. 5 vs. San Francisco 49ers, 5:20 p.m., NBC

What better way to kick off December than with a prime-time game against an NFC West foe? If both teams are relatively healthy, this one will surely have some postseason implications heading into the home stretch of the season.

Week 14: Dec. 12 at Houston Texans, 10 a.m., FOX

This will be the Seahawks' first trip to Houston since a one-shoed Richard Sherman interception return for a touchdown helped cap a comeback victory in 2013. Fans can only hope this game is as exciting as the 2017 matchup in which Russell Wilson barely outdueled Deshaun Watson in a 41-38 Seahawks win.

Week 15: Dec. 19 at Los Angeles Rams, 1:25 p.m., FOX

The Seahawks clinched an NFC West title with a late-season win over the Rams last year, and while clinching in Week 15 might not be realistic in the league's toughest division, this one could be massive towards the winner's hopes of securing a division title.

Week 16: Dec. 26 vs. Chicago Bears, 1:05 p.m., FOX

While nothing is certain, it seems likely that first-round pick Justin Fields will be leading the Bears offense by this point of the season. If he and the Bears offense get on track and match their dangerous defense, the Bears could be a very formidable opponent.

Week 17: Jan. 2 vs. Detroit Lions, 1:25 p.m., FOX

The Seahawks have had Detroit's number of late winning six of the past seven, including three in a row, but this is a different Lions squad than the one Seattle faced in 2017 and 2018. For starters, the Lions made a coaching change this offseason, bringing in Dan Campbell, and in one of many changes to their roster, the Lions traded away longtime quarterback Matt Stafford, and replaced him with Jared Goff, a player the Seahawks know well from his time in L.A.

Week 18: Jan 9 at Arizona Cardinals, 1:25 p.m., FOX

The Seahawks close out their season in Arizona for the second year in a row, though last season it was against a 49ers team that was displaced by COVID-19 restrictions in Santa Clara County. The same thing can be said about this game as other late-season NFC West games: there very well could be bigtime postseason implications at stake for both teams.
